Let me get this out of the way up front…this is NOT the dragon as we originally planned. We had a plan that was very much in keeping with certain traditions in the comic, and I know for a fact that Will TRIED to honor those traditions. But he eventually came to me to say, “Look, I’ve been trying this and I hate it. I have this other idea,” to which I replied, “Dude. If it ain’t working, it ain’t working. Do your thing.” Everything works better when we trust each other to do our thing. I can’t take any credit for this, but this is the coolest dragon reveal I’ve ever seen.
