
“My sweet summer child.” As I post this, I find myself wondering, “Is that a Game of Thrones invention? Did George R. R. Martin — or the GoT showrunners — come up that?” Turns out it’s an old quote from an old book, like 1800s old, but it was never really used until Martin dug it up for A Song of Ice and Fire.
