The term “badass” has heretofore been reserved for Maliya Pel, but in this image, it feels very much like Hunter has claimed that mantle as his own, don’t you think? This is one of those moments where Will’s vision for my words far exceeds my own. I mean, I wanted that first panel to be dynamic, but I wasn’t at all anticipating what Will was going to bring to it. Also, to pat myself on the back, Panel Three reads almost like it was written by someone else, not by anyone specific, but by someone that I like…and that feels good. I’m almost never happy with my dialogue.
