
That statue of Vanion Weyland is such an iconic part of the city to me now. I mean, it’s the Statue of Liberty or Christ the Redeemer — it’s a statue that immediately identifies a city. I just looked back at the script for Book 3: The Way of Scabbards (Page 110, if you must know) because I was sure that the statue was Will’s idea, but sure enough, I mention it in the script. Imagine working on something with someone for so long that you forget which ideas are yours. (It’s kind of a cool feeling, actually.)
