Jada Nilthrex doesn’t want to be known as anyone’s “lady.” The term “milady” is weighed down with all kinds of baggage, not least of which is a hint of possessiveness. This sea captain doesn’t have any of that going on, but Nilthrex doesn’t care about any of that. (She wouldn’t want to be called “sir,” either. She’d really prefer not to be addressed at all.)
