It’s not often in this comic that I get to tap into my horror movie sensibilities, but that’s definitely what I was going for in that second panel. I wanted you to hear a voice different than Maliya’s and I think Jacob achieved that. The new color — which definitely was not my first choice — also signals that something different is going on. (Of course I’m not going to say what that is!)
