The top panel is a flashback to the leader of the High Council of the Jinn – Bazid Karaam, the Black Efreet. I originally created this character for another project entirely, one that never got fully off the ground. Bazid Karaam was never more than a character profile that I wrote. (The project was about myths and mythology — a cool djinn was perfect for it.) His first appearance in Hunter Black was here.
